Rui is a genius who loves directing, robotics, and gardening. He grew up without many friends, and in fact was ostracized by most of his peers. He eventually did make friends in his second year in high school in the form of the theater troupe he joined. He tends to put on street acts, although, since he's joined an actual troupe the amount of street acts he's done on private property (read: the amusement park, Phoenix Wonderland) has decreased. He tries to combine his interests together any time he can, and will do just about anything to put on a good show. He also loves platypuses.

Rui is a curious and clever person. He often takes things that peak his interest apart in order to learn about them. He's also mischievous and chaotic, and gets worse when he feels he's being encouraged. He claims his top priority is putting on a good show, and he will do a lot in order to accomplish this, including manipulating the people around him. However, he is shown to compromise his ideas for safety. He gets carried away easily especially when he finds something new or in the scope of his interests. While he has few friends, he cares for them very deeply.

Stage Direction

He is a great and creative director. While he can get carried away with his ideas for effects, safety is always on his mind.

Acting

He is also a decent actor, although he only ever casts himself as either the narrator, the villain, or the lonely eccentric. So while he excels at those roles, he currently doesn't have much range.

Mechanics/Robotics

Rui is a robotics prodigy, winning awards as early as 1st grade.
